Creating something from nothing.

Shalene Hatton

These projects are created by students of the Esther B. Clark School.  Seventy plus students ages eight to sixteen years who meet in small groups once a week, led by art therapist Shalene Hatton

Art Therapy is about learning to enjoy creative-work.  The creative process is very challenging and rewarding.  What’s unique about art therapy is that the artist  is thinking actively about mastering creative success while creating something worth-while. When we create we have to overcome our fears, acquire new skills, and press forward with our creative best.  This work is very rewarding as each artist finds they are capable of both self-expression and creative success.
